Whew - the StayWell team has finally caught up on rest since HIMSS18 a few weeks
ago! The week of March 5, our tradeshow corps of 40 joined over 43,000 other health IT
professionals in Las Vegas. While this wasn’t my first HIMSS, it was a special one for
me personally. In February, StayWell acquired the digital health startup, Provata Health, making HIMSS the first time that we were able to come together as a consolidated team and show off all of our great new innovative technology – everything from voice to VR was on display all under one banner! Over three days, more than 550 attendees passed through our booth where we highlighted three of StayWell’s newest solutions. The first was – no surprise – Provata VR, powered by StayWell. In recent years, mobile functionality has grown increasingly important to a number of StayWell users. Now, with Provata’s digital health products, StayWell is making it even easier to support well-being on-the-go. At HIMSS, we demoed how our native iOS and Android mobile apps can be leveraged whether users are at home, at work, or at their healthcare providers’ offices (check out these attendees trying VR meditation for the first time!).
Providers that visited our booth were particularly interested in Krames on FHIR, which
is a patient engagement and education solution that integrates seamlessly into EHRs
(validated by both Cerner & Epic). What I love most about the solution is that it suggests educational tools based on a patient’s profile, such as age and native language, and current clinical encounter. It also simplifies creating and integrating custom patient education documents, supports Meaningful Use and MACRA requirements, so it’s a win-win for patients, hospitals and health systems alike.
Last, but certainly not least, was StayWell Voice, which is a new omni-channel application that we previewed at HIMSS. By leveraging the Orbita VoiceTM platform, the new application uses voice-first technology and advanced analytics, promising to help individuals manage their weight and stress, and take action on biometric values. If you weren’t at HIMSS – no fear – StayWell Voice will become available in Q4 2018, and you can also sign up here to receive updates as the app gets ready for public consumption.
